6th Annual Gorilla Cup Memorial Fishing Tournament
The Gorilla Cup Memorial Fishing Tournament is a Live Release Bass tournament founded in 2012.
In honour of Leon McRae, an avid fisherman and animal lover, the tournament was started by his son, Marco. The Tournament is a fundraiser for local animal shelters in the Kingston and Surrounding Area. The inaugural event raised over $1200.00 in 2012 with 25 anglers participating. The Gorilla Cup is fished as Team Event. 2 members per team with a 5 fish limit. Prizes will be awarded for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place of combined weight as well as "Large Fish". Payout will be based on the number of entrants. Check back often for updates! AUGUST 20, 2017Location: Dog, Cranberry and Whitefish Lakes Seeley's Bay Ontario-Launch Facility Time: Check-in will begin at 5:30am Boat Check will be required as you launch your boat Blast Off will be at 7am Weigh-in will begin at 3pm There will be a post weigh-in BBQ, 50/50 tickets, and raffle prize tickets at the Seeley's Bay Legion. All the proceeds from this will go to support the SPWC. See below for more information. |
Money raised from the Gorilla Cup events go to benefit the Sandy Pines Wildlife Center in Napanee, Ontario.
